For Father's Day, we traditionally travel to Indiana to spend the day with Chris's parents and Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Andy and the cousins. Since it was Chris's first official Father's Day, he got to select the menu...barbecue chicken, mashed potatoes and creamed corn (the family favorite) along with some Mac & Cheese and green beans for the kids.
One of the highlights of Father's Day at our house was always the Lemon Meringue Pie for dessert, a tradition that goes back to Chris's grandpa, who would always try to talk the kids out of their pie, or convince them to fill up before dessert. Needless to say, we were wondering if CJ would be up to trying out lemon pie today as well. Here is your answer!
So how much is he like Daddy so far? He likes spaghetti, lasagna, Cool Whip, hush puppies and now Lemon Pie...which means Daddy will have to share a lot more at the table as he starts growing!
